We’re thrilled to share that the much‑awaited Para Wetland section of The Whale Trail is almost ready to open. This stunning stretch will guide you through one of Marlborough’s hidden ecological gems - a place rich in wildlife, wetland beauty, and quiet magic.

Over the past few weeks, our construction team has been hard at work installing retaining walls, shaping and grading the trail, and putting the finishing touches in place. This new section will soon connect Koromiko to Ward, with an expected opening in mid-March.

We can’t wait for you to experience this special part of the trail and enjoy everything the Para Wetlands have to offer.

Stay tuned — the countdown is on 🌱
