Keep up to date with trail status including any maintenance, closures or detours
Please respect all trail notices THEY'RE FOR YOUR SAFETY!! This is especially relevant for the Section between Picton and Tuamarina where our constuction and maintenance crews will not expect riders on the trail.
Some of the trail passes through private land and working vineyards, for your safety and the continued support of the community please respect their rules.

White Road - Closed for Harvest
The White Road will be closed for the most part until the end of harvest (estimated 10 April 2026).
Please turn right at the Winery and head to Reserve Road to continue your journey.

Caution - re-gravelled surface at Reserve Road
Reserve Road, Flaxbourne
Reserve Road has recently been re‑gravelled with a thicker layer of gravel, so please take extra care when passing through this section. We’re working with our partners to improve the surface and overall rideability.

Wairau Bridge to Spring Creek Trail Section - new route
Wairau bridge to Spring Creek
Please note: South of the Wairau bridge to Ferry Road, Spring Creek is closed for major stopbank upgrade.
The trail has been modified to avoid the stopbank works, new signage is in place so please DO NOT USE the old route past the quarry.
