Please respect all trail notices THEY'RE FOR YOUR SAFETY!! This is especially relevant for the Section between Picton and Tuamarina where our constuction and maintenance crews will not expect riders on the trail.
Some of the trail passes through private land and working vineyards, for your safety and the continued support of the community please respect their rules.

The trail is a work in progress and Contractors are managing Health & Safety risks. To keep safe please adhere to all safety signs and barriers.
AWATERE BRIDGE TRAIL SECTION CLOSURE - April 10th to June 14th
Riders will need to travel on SH1 for 2.1km, caution to be taken on this busy highway section and extra care required when crossing the highway to rejoin the trail.
The Awatere Bridge trail section will be closed until mid June while heavy earthworks are undertaken on the bridge foundations at the northern end.
This trail section is CLOSED TO ALL CYCLISTS AND PEDESTRIANS.
