Keep up to date with trail status including any maintenance, closures or detours
Please respect all trail notices THEY'RE FOR YOUR SAFETY!! This is especially relevant for the Section between Picton and Tuamarina where our constuction and maintenance crews will not expect riders on the trail.
Some of the trail passes through private land and working vineyards, for your safety and the continued support of the community please respect their rules.

Awatere bridge to Seddon
Recent flooding events have eroded sections of the trail and is currently closed.
The temporary route is along SH1 from the bridge into Seddon so take extra care.

Trail closed - Tuamarina to Wairau Bridge
Tuamarina to Wairau Bridge
This section of trail between the Tuamarina hall and Wairau bridge is ponding water and muddy after recent heavy rains and should be avoided until it dries out. The temporary route is along SH1 so take extra care.

Trail closed - south of Wairau Bridge to Spring Creek.
Wairau Bridge to Spring Creek
High Wairau River flows have washed the trail out as it passes under the Wairau Bridge. Please exit the cycle bridge heading south and ride on SH1 to Ferry Road at Spring Creek where you will be able to rejoin the trail to Blenheim. As this is a busy section of road, take extra care.
