Volunteers gather for Dr Peter Meihana, Rangitāne blessing

On Thursday, 18 September, students from Bohally Intermediate, Riverlands School, and Marlborough Girls’ College teamed up with members of Blenheim South Rotary for a hands-on conservation effort along The Whale Trail. Together, they planted 700 native species beside the trail section that pasts the newly established Rānui Solar Farm in Riverlands.

This planting initiative, funded by the owner of the solar farm, not only enhances the ecological corridor but also celebrates the power of community partnerships in shaping a greener, more connected Marlborough.
