Upgrade to stop bank along Peninsula Road

If you’re planning to enjoy The Whale Trail at Tuamarino over the coming weeks, please be aware that work is currently underway on the stop bank, along Peninsular Road.

Steve and Rob have been out to add some more signage up at the roundabout. While this work is in progress, please follow the instructions of the on‑site traffic management team. They’re there to guide you through the area safely and ensure that both trail users and construction crews can operate safely.

You’ll be directed through the work zone when it’s safe to proceed, so you may experience brief delays here over the coming weeks as they put the new road in.
